About the Residency

Welcome to Ars Pianistica 2026 Edition!

Ars Pianistica is a summer residency created for pianists seeking serious artistic growth in a focused and immersive environment. The 2026 edition takes place in Bandung, Indonesia, in a comfortable villa surrounded by nature. Under the artistic direction of Stanislav Ioudenitch, and supported by a dedicated team, the program offers concentrated time for intensive, structured learning and practice—set within a calm, comfortable, and care-free living space.

Each session includes:

  • 12 one-hour lessons with Stanislav Ioudenitch — the equivalent of a semester’s worth of conservatory-level instruction

  • A public concert performance during the session

  • Two performance classes with the faculty and fellow participants

  • Career advice sessions

  • Activities engaging with local culture and music

  • Shared meals and informal musical dialogue with the faculty

  • Ample access to practice pianos

  • An optional cultural and rest retreat in Bali following each session (at additional cost)

Program Overview

Questions & Contact

  • Yes, participation in both sessions is possible. However, as the program is highly intensive and demands thorough preparation, it is recommended only for well-prepared pianists with a substantial repertoire and the stamina to sustain two consecutive sessions of focused study.

  • At this time, Ars Pianistica does not offer scholarships. As a small, independently run program, all resources are devoted to providing an exceptional educational and artistic experience for each participant. Limited financial assistance may be considered in future editions as the program grows.

  • Ars Pianistica is a private and highly focused program, designed to maintain an intimate and collaborative atmosphere among its participants. In principle, the residency is not open to observers. However, in exceptional cases—such as a parent accompanying a young participant or a close colleague of a participant—a limited number of observer requests may be considered upon written request and at the discretion of the artistic director.
Observers attend at their own responsibility, and the residency does not provide accommodation, transportation, or logistical support for non-participant guests.
